As the MSY Seahorse concludes its 15-day journey through the breathtaking underwater landscapes of Indonesia, it leaves a trail of unforgettable memories for divers seeking both adventure and marine marvels. The journey commences in Ambon, known for its unique critter-filled waters, offering a check dive to ensure the divers are well-acquainted with the dive procedures. The Seahorse crew extends a warm welcome, initiating safety briefings, and introducing guests to the vessel’s layout.
The expedition continues through a meticulously curated series of dive sites, each day promising a new underwater adventure. Ambon Bay showcases critters and muck diving, unveiling hidden wonders like a Dutch shipwreck and the fascinating Twilight zone, where frogfishes and devil fish lurk. Nusa Laut captivates with vibrant coral reefs and bustling marine life near Ameth village, setting the stage for the pelagic wonders awaiting at Suangi.
The journey unfolds a rich tapestry of experiences, from the historic Banda Neira with its lava flow dive and spice plantations to the fish-abundant Pulau Koon. Pulau Manuk, renowned for its sea snakes, and Pulau Koon, a haven for diverse marine life, offer unique encounters with the underwater world. The expedition culminates in the mesmerizing Misool, where Fiabacet and Balbulol showcase soft coral-rich environments and captivating underwater landscapes. The finale in Dampier Strait delivers thrilling dives at Citrus, Manta Sandy, Cape Kri, Chicken Reef, and Sardine Reef, ensuring divers witness the grandeur of Raja Ampat.
As the Seahorse sets sail to Sorong for disembarkation, guests are treated to a final day of reflection, group photos, and farewells. The 15-day voyage aboard the MSY Seahorse is a testament to the diversity and splendor of Indonesia’s underwater realm, leaving divers with a treasure trove of memories and a deep appreciation for the wonders of the Banda Sea.

Marine Life: At least 75 percent of all coral species can be found in Raja Ampat, divers can expect a range of topography from soft corals and sea fans, to hard corals, seagrass beds, mangroves, shallow reefs, deep drop-offs, caves, black sand, and white sand. Giant manta rays, sea turtles, sharks, cuttlefish, pipefish, various seahorse species, and massive schools of reef fish are the norm, plus the delightful wobbegong sharks and epaulette sharks inhabit these waters too.
MSY Seahorse crew is standing by to welcome you on board. Safety Briefing, Crew Introduction, Necessary Dive Paperwork, Cabin allocation, and ship orientation will take place before departing. During the first day take this opportunity to familiarize yourself with the vessel and make yourself comfortable.
Critters and muck diving. Shipwreck, a Dutch shipwreck, Twilight zone a muck dive site, and an Aviation jetty with frogfishes, devil fish, Coleman’s shrimp, and many other critters.
Dives close to Ameth village. Excellent coral reef with large Acropora stands, schools of fishes, lot of life.
Opportunities for pelagic with sharks, Manta rays, and a profusion of life. 2 dives in this area before sailing to Banda Neira where we arrive with the sunset for a mandarin fish dive.
3-4 Dives / Day
An incredible reef with walls, slopes, overhangs, caves, and huge sponges, also named too many fishes, is really one of the best dive sites for fish life in Indonesia, with the possibility to see big fishes. Macro life is also pretty good with leaf fishes, rubber eels, and some more. Departure in the evening, after a night dive.
Possible Dive Spots:
We reach the South East of Misool and dive into the area of Yellet and Boo. Batu Kecil is an excellent dive, a pinnacle reef system with great soft corals and dense fish life. Boo point East is another soft coral-rich dive, where you can observe schools of batfishes, turtles, and napoleon wrasses.
Some more dives in Misool in the area of Balbulol. Pet rock, candy store, and Andiamo MISOOL EAST – Three rocks, a marvelous small pass between two rocks, lined with sea fans and whip corals. Caves and Wall and No contest will probably be the two other dives of the day, but there are other possibilities according to current and visibility. In the evening, we enter a lagoon and go to visit another lagoon hidden deep in the rocks. Night dive outside of the lagoon. The boat will then sail to the Dampier Strait.
3-4 Dives / Day
A first morning dive at Citrus – at the entrance of the Dampier strait, a channel with sloping sides covered with soft corals and life-then with a reliable manta ray congregation at manta sandy.

Last day of the cruise. Farewell and group pictures. Disembarkation and assistance for check-in at Sorong Airport.
