Maumere is a great spot for muck-diving enthusiasts. Like most Banda Sea diving spots the waters are relatively calm and the current is much milder than the neighboring Komodo islands. There are several excellent dive sites along the coast of Flores islands to choose from on your dive trip. Most liveaboard cruises offer three or four dives a day on their Maumere itinerary so you will spend plenty of time down with the critters.

1. Diving was fantastic—there were a ton of fish, coral, sharks, etc. 2. The crew was excellent and assisted with everything. 3. Boat: The boat is comfy, roomy, and extremely nice and modern. I pulled my hubby along, and he liked it even though he doesn’t enjoy diving!
