Be a MemberThe Ambai liveaboard 13D12N Saumlaki, Ambon is one of Indonesia’s most isolated and rewarding liveaboard trips. It connects the pristine, pelagic-rich wilderness of the Forgotten Islands (Pulau-Pulau Tersembunyi) with the famous muck diving mecca of Ambon. This 13-day trip on the famous expedition ship KM Ambai starts in the remote outpost of Saumlaki in the Tanimbar Islands. From there, you can explore the untouched atolls and submerged seamounts of the Forgotten Islands. This area is known for its shark congregations, huge schools of fish, and stunning coral walls that only a few divers see each year. Then, you’ll cruise north across the Banda Sea to Ambon Bay, where your voyage will end as you look for unusual creatures like the psychedelic frogfish. This Forgotten Islands and Ambon liveaboard is the best choice for experienced divers who want a real frontier trip that mixes exploring the open ocean with finding amazing macro life.
The Ambai Liveaboard Saumlaki, Ambon trip is a masterclass in exploring distant areas. It lasts 13 days and uses the ship’s famed expedition skills to get to some of the Coral Triangle’s most remote and pristine habitats. The longer route gives you enough time to properly enjoy the untouched reefs and exciting blue-water pelagic activity of the Forgotten Islands before moving on to the more personal, critter-focused dives of Ambon. On the Ambai, which is known for being very stable and having a crew that knows these faraway waters better than anyone else, you will sail along historic nautical routes in luxury and safety. This 13-day trip is a bucket-list item for serious divers and underwater photographers who want to go on an authentic Indonesia liveaboard expedition to a real last frontier. It will give you a deep and life-changing connection with the untouched heart of the Banda Sea and its most interesting inhabitants.

The complete staff makes this vacation so great. They are young and really care about what they do. There were a lot of different dive spots to choose from. There were a lot of baracudas, as well as sharks and macro. We will definitely ride this boat again.
