In general, it was a great vacation. Blue Manta is one of the greatest boats in Indonesia, and the crew is really friendly and knowledgeable. Because the boat is so big, it is quite steady and good for people who get seasick easily. Dive guides are good at finding even the tiniest animals. The food is good and better than what most liveaboards in Indonesia serve. Diving is fantastic, although this time Raja Amat had a lot of bleaching and fuzzy brown algae growth, especially in the Dampier Strait area. This wasn’t the boat’s fault, of course. The only bad thing about Blue Manta is that there are so many divers in the water at once. They try to stagger, but not usually by much, so you end up with big groups all mixed together.
