This unique private charter is the best choice for professional divers and explorers. It gives your group 11 days to completely explore the most biodiverse and logistically difficult waters in Eastern Indonesia. Your custom itinerary opens up world-class extremes: diving Alor’s famous Kal’s Dream for schooling hammerheads and thrilling drift dives, crossing the Banda Sea’s deep, blue waters, and spending days looking for Ambon’s legendary rare critters, like the psychedelic frogfish and rhinopias at Laha Bay. The famous Cheng Ho, with its unmatched size and traditional grandeur, becomes your own private expedition ship. A dedicated crew, a private chef, and skilled diving guides will work around your schedule so you never miss a dive or a moment of discovery.
Choosing an 11-day private charter on this isolated route isn’t a luxury; it’s a must if you want to conquer this frontier with full freedom, comfort, and depth. This longer time gives your group a chance to really get to know each place: wait for the right currents at important spots like Pura Island, plan numerous dives to photograph rare species, and include interesting cultural visits to traditional communities that few travelers ever see. The Cheng Ho has a huge deck and is known for being very stable, making it the perfect place for underwater photographers to set up their gear and for everyone to unwind after days of exploring. This is the best liveaboard trip for serious photographers, adventurous families, and parties that want a true once-in-a-lifetime itinerary that takes them from Alor’s adrenaline to Ambon’s strange beauty. There are too many to name! A terrific way to dive at some of the best places I’ve ever been, like Shotgun, Batu Balong, Manta Alley, and more. The boat and diving setup were extremely nice. The view in Komodo National Park is amazing. A real escape.
