Be a MemberThe 12-day excursion on our sailboat starting from Ternate and ending in Ambon has been rather remarkable as the trip comes to a conclusion. Every day has been exploration and absorption into the hypnotic underwater worlds of the Indonesian archipelago.
From the time of departure in Ternate, our ship has been a portal to a world of wonders undersea. Offering a taste of the vivid marine life just waiting for exploration, the check dive on the first day set the tone for the next days.
Days 2 through 11 revealed the heart of the trip, each day a tapestry of 3 to 4 dives including the magical experience of a night dive wherever conditions let. From the light breakfast setting the stage for the morning dive to the great dinners that followed the adventure beneath the surface, the rhythm of a normal day on board became a consoling ritual for our adventurous souls.
Activities outside diving gave our trip layers. Sessions of snorkelling took us closer to the surface and exposed the undersea world’s splendor from another angle. Hiking experiences gave us amazing views and a closer relationship with nature as they let us explore the terrain above sea level. Village visits let us interact with nearby populations and get understanding of the rich customs and culture of the areas we visited.
On the 12th day, we are sailing back to Ambon and our hearts are full of thanks for the once-in-a-lifetime events and the friendship developed on this journey. The recollections of the varied aquatic life, the excitement of every dive, and the times of discovery will be dear tales to tell and jewels to have.
Along with exploring the ocean, this trip has been about the common delight of discovery, the friendship among other adventurers, and the harmony between nature and individuals who want to know and value it. May the echoes of the underwater world linger in us, reminding us of the beauty hidden beneath the surface of our globe till our next journey.
