Be a MemberOur maritime trip throughout Raja Ampat has left a lasting impression on our hearts as the curtains draw on an amazing 10-day voyage on the ILIKE Liveaboard. On Day 1, we sailed left Sorong and headed into the darkness toward the beauties that lay ahead in Misool.
Days 2 through 5 found Misool’s Daram Islands, Fiabacet, Boo Island, Wayilbatan, and Wagmab-Farondi to be a captivating chapter. From complex coral formations to the energetic dance of aquatic life, these underwater worlds presented a symphony of dives that each revealed. With its amazing seascapes, Misool offered a blank canvas for spectacular underwater scenes.
Penemu Island on Day 6 and the next days at Yangeffo Island and the renowned Dampier Strait kept spinning a story of marine wonders. From trevallies and tuna to the amazing presence of Manta ray, the nutrient-rich waters of the Dampier Strait revealed bigger-than-life interactions with giants of the sea.
As we descended the Dampier Strait on the last day of diving, we considered the many settings and varied ecosystems that have enhanced our path of travel. The two dives on Day 9 were a moving farewell to the underwater beauties that have joined us over the past few days.
Starting in Sorong on Day 10, we have a treasure store of memories from the Dampier Strait’s thrilling encounters to Penemu Island’s silent beauty. Our ship along this aquatic journey has been ILIKE Liveaboard, which offers not only a means of mobility but also a floating refuge bringing us closer to the pulse of Raja Ampat’s underwater symphony.
We carry not only the salt on our skin but also a great respect for the delicate but strong ecosystems under surface as we say goodbye to ILIKE and the magical waters of Raja Ampat. May the echoes of these undersea beauties linger in our hearts and call us back to the Coral Triangle’s unmatched splendor till our paths once more cross. Fellow explorers, safe travels!
