The first day is just to help you get used to your new place. On your first night, you will be rocked to sleep, and then we will go to the Moyo and Satonda Islands. There is a great route on Satonda that leads to its saltwater lake. The island was made by an eruption that happened 1000 meters below the surface. Diving around this island is a fun way to start learning about the amazing creatures that live in this never-ending archipelago.
We will stop on another volcanic island, Sangeyang, which last erupted in 2015. There are still some people that reside on this island. The dive is really incredible. There are great macros on the black sandy slopes here. Hot Rocks is a unique diving spot because little bubbles rise from the bottom and the rocks.
Arriving in Komodo National Park in the North, where the water from the Flores Sea is usually still cool and nice. There are a lot of fish on these underwater pinnacles. You can see schools surgeons, big eye jacks, snapper or barracudas, and pelagic fish. Komodo has a lot of different places to see. From underwater peaks to sloping sandy bottoms with manta cleaning stations to driving along to a beautiful coral reef.
The water temperature will likewise drop as you go south. Nusa Kode is one of her favorites. The corals are fantastic because this horseshoe-shaped entrance gets a lot of nutrients from the Indian Ocean. In terms of size and color, as well as in terms of size. There are a lot of fish, and some species you may have never seen before could remind you of the monsters you used to know as a kid.
These nutrients also bring in bigger pelagic fish, like the beautiful manta ray. They are either running after each other or getting cleaned at the cleaning station. There have also been reports of sightings of the hard-to-find Mola Mola sunfish.
Your adventure isn’t complete until you see the Komodo Dragons, the last living dinosaurs. You may get a close look at them at the National Park. You will also get macaque monkeys, deer, wild pigs, and wild horses if you are lucky.
