Be a MemberThe Ilike 12D11N Komodo Alor liveaboard transports one through some of Indonesia’s most spectacular underwater and terrestrial environments. Beginning in Labuan Bajo, divers explore the Komodo National Marine Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site noted for its turbulent currents, nutrient-rich waters, and amazing marine life. From the warm, vivid reefs of the Flores Sea in the north to the cooler, nutrient-filled waters of the Indian Ocean in the south, every dive site provides distinctive experiences—from manta ray cleaning stations and colorful coral gardens to encounters with the legendary Komodo Dragons and other terrestrial life. The trip covers volcanic islands like Sangeang and Paloe, where unique diving possibilities arise from spectacular underwater topography meeting rich macro life.
Diving in Maumere Bay, Pantar Strait, and Kalabahi Bay as the liveaboard moves east toward Alor exposes different surroundings. These sites provide black sand muck diving, breathtaking coral walls, and encounters with uncommon marine life including the elusive Mola Mola and Thresher sharks. Above water, this journey gains complexity from the volcanic landscape and cultural exchanges with nearby villages featuring handcrafted Ikat textiles and traditional ceremonies. Divers and adventurers looking for a mix of world-class diving, dynamic ecosystems, and cultural immersion in Indonesia’s most amazing locations will find this schedule ideal.
