Be a MemberWith hopes of an early morning arrival, we start our adventure at Sorong, Western Papua, then travel overnight towards Misool. The amazing diversity that awaits you in this region—a tapestry of marine wonders including underwater seamounts, smaller pinnacles, coral walls, and gardens adorned with giant sea fans, a spectrum of soft corals, massive table corals, and a bustling array of fish species—ready to enthrall you. Apart from being a visual feast, Misool provides a refuge for elusive species like the amazing epaulette shark, distinguished by its unusual “walking” method of nighttime prey stalking.
Traveling to Batanta will find amazing muck diving areas with vivid nudibranchs, alien species, and enchanted coral bommies.
With a wealth of nutrients, the Dampier Strait calls strong predators including gigantic trevallies, yellowfin tuna, rainbow runners, and occasionally blacktip, grey reef, and white tip shark present. One of the unusual places known globally where two species of Manta rays can be seen on the same dive site is this stretch.
Discover the magic of Raja Ampat’s night dives, which present an original viewpoint on the sea. We also invite you to visit one of the surrounding villages so you may engage with the active populations that call Raja Ampat home and so experience the local way of life.
