This was my first time diving on a liveaboard, and it was practically everything I had hoped for. We were delighted to have a great cruise director and crew, as well as a congenial bunch of other guests. Before long, we all felt like family. The days were well planned and structured, the cuisine was great, and the diving was amazing every day. The boat was a magnificent and roomy traditional Indonesian Phinisi. The tender boats were comfy and set up well for getting ready to dive. One and only criticism, which isn’t specific to this boat: I wish the dive guides had more power at the start to correct divers with terrible habits and low buoyancy. I observed way too many of my diving friends wearing gloves and leaning against the coral to take pictures. I bet tour companies don’t want to make customers angry, but a guide’s most essential job is to be an ambassador for the reef.
