Beginning your trip in Labuan Bajo, the Samambaia 12D11N Komodo Island tour will set off an amazing 12-day, 11-night adventure. Starting your vacation with a check dive at Sebayor Kecil guarantees that your equipment is ready for the amazing dives to come. Discover immaculate reefs like Tatawa Besar and take one of the best night dives available in Indonesia at Wai Nilu. Explore Komodo’s famous sites—Rinca, Nusa Kode, and Komodo Central—where you will find amazing marine life like manta rays, turtles, and vivid coral reefs during the next days.

Enjoy walks to breathtaking views, visits to historic towns, or just lounging on remote beaches during surface intervals. Itenerary

Dives: Approximately 34 dives in total

Experience: Open Water – 30 minimum logged dives required

Marine Life: Bumphead parrotfish, bamboo sharks, marble rays, nudibranchs, dusky sharks, jawfish, bubble coral shrimps, leaf fish, porcelain crabs, pygmy seahorses, schools of barracudas, trevally, and mackerel, white tips, black tips, grey reef sharks, turtles, octopus, frogfish, manta rays, dugong, banded pipefishes, mandarin fishes, Wonderpus, Indian Walkman.

Day 1 & 2

Arrival with a plane to Labuan Bajo. You will be picked up by crew members at the airport.
Embarkation in the port of Labuan Bajo. A general orientation follows. After an initial general dive briefing, we will do our check dive with you at an easy and protected dive site. Check dive in the sense of you checking your gear and weights, making sure the camera housings are properly sealed and our guides checking your buoyancy. No skill demonstrations are required.
Dive site: ‘Sebayor Kecil’. Over the day we are heading south through the National Park and look into doing an easy drift dive over an impeccable reef, like ‘Tatawa Besar’. To cap this first day of diving we offer a night dive at Wai Nilu, which ranks within the Top 5 favorite night dive spots all over Indonesia of our Cruise Director.

Day 3 - 11

Three-day dives of minimum 1-hour duration
One sunset/night dive (unless we have to cover a serious amount of miles overnight)
Activities during the surface intervals such as:
– scenic rides through lagoons and coves in our tenders
– trekking to breathtaking viewpoints
– visits to secluded perfect beaches
– excursions to traditional villages
– whale watching
– water activities such as wakeboarding and kayak
Dive Sites we may visit but not limited to :
– Rinca Trekking.
– Nusa Kode: Cannibal Rock, The Yellow Wall of Texas, Devil’s Corner, Torpedo Alley.
– Komodo Central: Batu Bolong, Manta Point.
– Komodo – The North: Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, The Golden Passage, The Cauldron, Lighthouse.
– Komodo National Park diving at it’s best.

Day 12

Depending on your flight schedule, our crew will check your luggage in for you in advance so you can rest on board and let us shuttle you to the airport when your plane is ready to leave.
