The Seven Seas liveaboard 11D10N Maumere & Alor excursion takes you to East Indonesia’s most beautiful and wild diving spots. It has a flexible schedule that goes both ways between Maumere and Alor. This carefully planned trip is for divers who want to explore beautiful reefs, exciting currents, and unusual marine life that aren’t on the more popular itineraries. Start your trip in Maumere Bay on Flores Island. The coral gardens there are recovering and prospering after decades of protection. You can go wall diving, swim down gentle slopes, and see turtles, reef sharks, and colourful reef fish against a backdrop of beautiful volcanic scenery. As the Seven Seas liveaboard moves east, the underwater experience gets even better in the famous waters of Alor. Here, nutrient-rich currents flow through narrow straits, making it a great place for pelagic action like schooling hammerheads, dogtooth tuna, giant trevally, and majestic eagle rays.
This 11-day trip shows off the region’s macro treasures and hidden beauties, in addition to the thrill of Alor’s legendary current dives. Visit the beautiful reefs of Pulau Pura and Pantar Strait, where colourful soft corals and gorgonian sea fans cover steep walls and provide homes for pygmy seahorses, rhinopias, and flamboyant cuttlefish. The schedule also includes visits to hidden bays and black sand slopes where rare creatures like the shy Ambon scorpionfish and beautiful ghost pipefish wait for someone to find them. Above the ocean, you may visit traditional Alorese settlements and see stunning vistas of volcanic peaks rising from the sea. The Seven Seas liveaboard has expert guides who know the ever-changing currents and marine life of East Indonesia. The ship also has comfortable accommodations. This makes for an amazing trip through one of the archipelago’s best and least-explored diving areas, which is perfect for divers looking for adventure, variety, and real discovery.
