From the moment you board Tiaré in Labuan Bajo, the journey unfolds as a spectacular adventure into the heart of Komodo’s aquatic treasures. For 7 days, Tiaré becomes your floating haven, offering 3-4 dives daily, including the enchantment of night dives. Explore challenging sites off Gili Lawa Laut, Crystal Rock, and Castle Rock, each adorned with vibrant corals and teeming marine life. Dive into the exhilarating currents off Komodo Island, navigating through Takat Makassar Reef, Batu Bolong, and Tatawa Kecil, where encounters with sharks, manta rays, and turtles await.
As the sun sets, the adventure continues with night dives at Pulau Sebayur and Padar. Explore the mini wall, encountering leaffish, ghost pipefish, and nudibranchs, and witness the vibrant marine nightlife at Manta Reef and Batu Bolong.
On Day 8, after two morning dives, the journey takes a terrestrial turn as you step onto Komodo Island to meet the legendary Komodo dragons. Tour the island, an encounter that adds a unique dimension to this aquatic odyssey.
As the expedition concludes on Day 9, bid farewell to the Tiaré and the extraordinary underwater world that has been your home for the past week. Depart from Labuan Bajo with memories of thrilling dives, close encounters with marine marvels, and the magic of Komodo’s majestic landscapes.

Marine Life: Bumphead parrotfish, bamboo sharks, marble rays, nudibranchs, dusky sharks, jawfish, bubble coral shrimps, leaf fish, porcelain crabs, pygmy seahorses, schools of barracudas, trevally, and mackerel, white tips, black tips, grey reef sharks, turtles, octopus, frogfish, manta rays, dugong, banded pipefishes, mandarin fishes, Wonderpus, Indian Walkman.
After boarding Tiaré in Labuan Bajo, you will enjoy a tour of the boat and settle in with breakfast on the boat. Sailing to Sabolan Kecil, you will have an afternoon dive before moving on to Sebayur Island for a night dive at the mini wall.
We offer 3-4 dives daily, including a night dive, if possible. When crossing only 2 dives a day can be scheduled. You will dive into some challenging sites off Gili Lawa Laut. Crystal Rock (named for the rock jutting out from crystal blue water) and Castle Rock both boast a wide variety of very healthy corals and an impressive array of marine life. Cauldron (sometimes called Shotgun) and Gili Lawa Laut Lighthouse are two of the other thrilling dives in this area and can be dived in the evening or at night.
Here, you might see crocodile fish, lionfish, sometimes eagle rays and reef sharks, and even manta rays. You’ll be diving off Komodo Island where currents can be quite strong. Dives must be timed in accordance with tides and weather conditions so there are a number of dive sites you may visit. Takat Makassar Reef, Batu Bolong, and Tatawa Kecil are all stunning dives with soft and hard corals.
You’ll have the chance to see white and blacktip reef sharks, manta rays, turtles, giant trevally, and snapper in various environments, from shallow reefs to canyons and caves.
Dive at night at the mini wall at Pulau Sebayur where you should Look for leaffish, ghost pipefish, and nudibranchs.
Dive at the stunning Manta Reef (Karang Makassar) and the spectacular Batu Bolong, where you will see an incredible amount of coral and tropical fish. Expect to see nudibranchs, frogfish, and larger marine life like reef sharks and Bumphead parrotfish. Your third dive of the day will be a night dive in Padar.
Water temperatures at these sites can drop to around 20°c, so be prepared for the possibility of chillier dives.
Dive off Nusa Kode Island, where you’ll see some of the most incredible marine creatures in the archipelago. And dive more to other spectacular dive sites.
2 dives in the morning depending on guest flight schedules. After so many amazing dives, it’s time to meet the magnificent Komodo dragons on their own turf. Tour the island before heading back to the boat and sailing overnight to Labuan Bajo.
