White Manta 11D10N

The White Manta Liveaboard 11D10N Ambon to Banda Islands tour will take you on an incredible journey through Indonesia’s ancient Spice Islands. You’ll get to do world-class muck diving and see amazing reefs. This high-end itinerary starts in Ambon Bay, the world capital of macro photography. There, you’ll look for rare critters like psychedelic frogfish and rhinopias at famous places like Laha and Hukurila. Then you’ll cruise to the Banda Islands to see dramatic walls full of pelagics at Banda Neira and Hatta Island. On the sumptuous White Manta, you may go on up to four dives a day with skilled operators. You’ll see all kinds of marine life in Indonesia, from tiny nudibranchs to huge hammerhead sharks. The trip lasts 11 days, which gives you plenty of time to fully explore these unique underwater worlds. You’ll have comfy en-suite accommodations, excellent meals, and a large sun deck to lounge on between dives.

Dives: Approximately 28 dives in total

Experience: Open Water – 50 minimum logged dives required.

Important Notes

• Most dives are suitable for all divers. Some dives may be beyond someone with 15 logged dives. If that is the case, then we will assess before each dive, and if we feel the safety of anyone is compromised, we may ask them to sit the dive out*. The cruise leader’s decision is final and is always based on safety.
• We also try to make up groups, 4 divers to 1 dive master, based on the request, experience, and other factors. All guests currently booked on this trip are experienced divers. We also offer the services of a private guide*: USD900 for the trip (based on USD150/ night for the duration of the trip). While I shall NOT enforce for this trip, it can be requested & paid for before the trip.
• We welcome all guests aboard. For those who are inexperienced, we may insist on a private guide, subject to availability, or ask them to sit out our dives beyond their experience. The cruise leader’s decision is final and based on the safety of this guest and all guests onboard.
• An experienced diver is someone considered to have 50 dives or more. Ideally, but not compulsory, we recommend that our divers be Advanced Open Water (AOW) divers. This will see them have more ability, confidence, awareness, experience, and more importantly, a better understanding of their own and their buddies’ safety.
• Private Guide; our dive groups are made up of 1 dive master to 4 to 5 divers. If we have 1-3 guests with very little experience, we will insist on having a Private Guide: USD900 for the trip (USD150/ day for the entire trip’s duration). This will allow them to make dives up to their least conservative experience of the group. We will also advise whether certain divers are suitable for their experience level. Where possible, we will offer an alternative. Where we cannot, we may ask them to sit out a dive. The Cruise Leader’s decision is final. All decisions are based on the safety of all concerned
