Enjoy a warm welcome and briefing as we sail from the pier to Derawan, where we’ll embark on our underwater exploration.
Over the following days, immerse yourself in the rich marine diversity of Sangalaki, Maratua Island, Kakaban, and Sambit Island, where manta rays, turtles, chevron barracudas, big-eye jacks, and other marine life await exploration. Witness the awe-inspiring sight of baby turtles hatching and making their dash to the sea on the pristine beaches of Sangalaki. Dive into the crystal-clear waters around Maratua Island, where massive schools of fish and the possibility of spotting hammerhead sharks await.
Continue your underwater adventure with dives around Kakaban, featuring stunning wall dives and a visit to the mesmerizing freshwater Jellyfish Lake. Explore the pristine corals and abundant marine life around Sambit Island, including sightings of turtles and whale sharks. Conclude your journey with the exhilarating search for whale sharks at local fishing “bogans” on day seven before sailing back to Tg Batu Port. Spend your last night aboard the Raja Manta in the harbor, enjoying plenty of time to wash and dry equipment, relax, and prepare for your departure on day eight. Bid farewell to your fellow divers as you check out and transfer to a local hotel or the airport, departing with cherished memories of your extraordinary diving expedition in Indonesia.

Marine Life: potential for thresher sharks, manta rays, white-tips & nurse sharks, huge schools of barracuda, many turtles, and even Whale sharks! Not to mention plenty of macro life to keep even the most experienced of divers happy. Plus there is a chance to swim amongst millions of non-stinging jellyfish in the freshwater Lake of Kakaban.

Looking for whale sharks at local fishing “bogans” then sail back to Tg Batu Port Sailing time 5 hours. The last night sleeping on Raja Manta in the harbor. Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, rest and relax, and if need be, an early flight on trip departure day.
5 am-12 pm. Check out after light breakfast, farewells, and transfer to a local hotel or airport.
