Komodo Leisure Cruise Detail

Komodo Leisure Cruise – It is hardly surprising, given its size, that unforgettable adventures can be enjoyed the length and breadth of Indonesia, largely in places that remain complete strangers to mass tourism. Among such destinations are many of the islands of the Lesser Sunda group which arcs from Bali in the west to the Tanimbar Islands in the east. One of the most legendary spots in this part of Indonesia is Komodo National Park. Established in 1980 to protect the Komodo Dragon, the world’s largest lizard, the national park is a haven for biodiversity as well as a wonderful showcase of marine life. The best way to explore the national park, which encompasses a coastal section of western Flores, the three larger islands of Komodo, Padar and Rinca, as well as many smaller islands, is by boat. Guests can cruise at their leisure around the beautiful seascapes while stopping off to drink deep from the national park’s heady natural elixir.

Komodo Leisure Cruise given the vastness of the Indonesian archipelago it is hard to decide where your adventure should start. So let us suggest that you start by joining us to experience the Komodo National Park’s dramatic landscape where rugged hillsides of dry savannah and pockets of monsoon forests contrast starkly with the brilliant white sandy beaches.

A truly enlightening adventure steps back in time to a prehistoric age of wonder and beauty, which lies at the heart of the Indonesian archipelago. The islands boast some of the richest marine environments in the world with coral reefs, mangroves, sea grass beds, seamounts and semi-enclosed bays. More than 1,000 species of fish, 260 species of reef-building coral, and 70 species of sponges are found here along with dugong, sharks, manta rays and at least 14 species of whales, not to mention dolphins, and abundant sea turtles. These islands throughout the park offer stunning white beaches and calm bays perfect for snorkeling, diving, and other water sports.

Day 1Labuan Bajo - Kelor - Rinca - Kalong Rinca (Overnight)

Pick up on Labuan Bajo Airport or on the hotel.
Kelor Island: The other fun activities to do are snorkeling, photography, swimming, and diving. Water sports are popular in Kelor Island, as it features perfect sea and shorelines. The water is clear and the sand is soft. Numerous types of fishes also live in the water, including clown fishes (Nemo)! As an extra, tourists are able to see mesmerizing landscape in the horizon. Another fun thing to do is beach walking, as the size of the island is not quite big. That means you can explore it without hassles.
Rinca: Rinca Island is one of the 29 islands off the coast of Flores which make up Komodo National Park, the home of the mighty Komodo dragon. Rinca and Komodo are the biggest and most-visited islands in the park, offering great opportunities to spot the dragons in their natural habitats.
Kalong Rinca: Kalong Island is a small beautiful island in Komodo National Park with mangrove plantations cover the island where thousands of bats living. Furthermore, the name of this island is coming from the local word that Kalong means bat. It is because of the island dwelt by thousands of bats and keeps secret by local people. This island presents the exotic attraction of bat flying over the island in particular sunset time. Therefore, it is one of the favorite tourist attractions in this national park that you never miss

Day 2Rinca - Padar - Komodo Island - Pink Beach - Manta Point - Gili Lawa (Overnight)

Padar: Padar is mostly savannah-covered, surreal landscape fringed by bright green-capped mountains of fairy-tale shapes. It’s all surrounded by three turquoise bays, and curiously, each one of the bays’ beaches has different coloured sand: One is pearly white, another charcoal black, and a third is a very rare baby pink. It is a rare combination, a quirk of this unique island.
Pink Beach: Pink Beach, or Pantai Merah, as it is aptly named, is one of seven pink beaches on the planet, and is just one of the many amazing features of Komodo Island that make it truly a Natural Wonder of Nature. This exceptional beach gets its striking color from microscopic animals called Foraminifera, which produce a red pigment on the coral reefs. For this reason, it is called Red Beach in the local tongue. When the tiny fragments of red coral combine with the white sands, this produces the soft pink color that is visible along the shoreline. Aside from Pink Beach itself, a few small segments along Komodo’s eastern bay also have a pinkish tint.

Manta Point: Manta Point Komodo is a divesite rich with bottom based plankton making it an alluring spot – attracting dozens of Manta Ray for feeding and cleaning. Accessible by chartered liveaboard, the dive site sits between the islands of Komodo and Rinca within the Komodo National Park.

Gili Lawa: Gili Lawa Darat is an island in the north east of Komodo. The island is almost seen as a desert barren savanah which wholly covered by grass. In the dry season the island almost look brown everywhere. While in the rainy season, the island turns the color into green. Gili Lawa Darat bay is a perfect place for boat to stay during the night as it is always calm and protected from current and waves. Dive boats are normally anchoring here for night dives.

Day 3Gili Lawa - Kanawa - Bidadari - Labuan Bajo

Kanawa: Kanawa Island has its own house reef. From the port of arrival, the reefs are on the west and east part of the island. There aren’t many nice reefs just in front of the white sand beaches around the port.

Bidadari Island Labuan Bajo is a beautiful island with white sandy beach situated in the hearth of Komodo National Park. Furthermore, this island is very famous with clear seawater and ideally for diving as well as snorkeling. Nowadays, Bidadari Island Labuan Bajo is a tourist destination and stop point during Komodo Dragon Tours. Meanwhile, the long white sandy beach with panoramic view of Komodo National Park surrounds it as the features of this island. The amazing underwater lives with colorful fishes as well as corals are making your vacation completely fantastic and enjoyable.
